36 CRAZYFISTS Cancels European Tour
July 28, 2011Alaskan metallers 36 CRAZYFISTS have canceled their previously announced European tour which was scheduled to take place in October/November.
Commented singer Brock Lindow: "It is with great sadness that I am writing you all to let you know that we will not be able to tour Europe in October this year. I have a family member who is very ill and I must be at home to help and support my family in every way I can. We will definitely make it up to all our friends who had planned on attending the shows. All of you mean everything to us and we are so grateful... Thanks for your understanding and we will see you with a new album next year."
36 CRAZYFISTS's latest album, "Collisions And Castaways", sold around 3,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 161 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at No. 3 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"Collisions And Castaways" was written and recorded between October 2009 and May 2010. It follows on the heels of 2009's DVD, "Underneath a Northern Sky", and is the band's second straight effort to feature Steve Holt in the producer's chair and Andy Sneap handling the final mix.
